Balerno Loop with ELFE

About the event

A day out with Edinburgh and Lothians Fungus Enthusiasts ELFE to share our interests.

In the Malleny Mills area the visit will include a former waste bing and a look around the Harmeny Wood, a nature reserve over the water from Harmeny School.

The sections of the walk are linked by short stretches of road. Off-road there are slopes and some loose surfaces. Detour to avoid these sections if necessary.

Bring lunch and a drink. Dress and footwear appropriate for a day out in nature.

Meet outside the Balerno Inn, in the village centre. Travel by local bus from Edinburgh 44 or 32. Expect Farmers Market to be taking place. Parking available around the village centre.
