PITTENCRIEFF PARK, DUNFERMLINE

BARK

IN DETAIL

A 3 mile circular walk which is all on paths and tracks. Some of the paths may be muddy and there are rocky steps through Pittencrieff Glen which are uneven and require care.

The walk begins in the Car Park at 10:45. There is a public transport option to take the 09:35 X55 Stagecoach Bus from Edinburgh Bus Station to Dunfermline. Both leaders will be on the bus. There is a short (less than 5 minutes) walk from the Dunfermline Bus Station to the start of the walk.

The focus will be on birds, fungi, mosses, liverworts, lichens, plants and trees. We should see a number of early flowering wildflowers. Binoculars, if you have them, will be useful.

Bring lunch, a drink, waterproofs, stout footwear and wear warm clothing.
